2008 CRM Vette. Supposed to be new. Big writeup by Esoteric Auto Detail

Damn leprechauns.

:D

Todd, the only stuff I can think to say pretty much duplicates what I always say in your threads. Amazing work, matched only by how it's presented....terrific photos, awesome how-to information, and just the right mix of humor. Kudos!

I absolutely love that color, and your work makes it look better than any GM fan could fathom. The only thing wrong with Corvettes is the dealer network through which they're sold. Shame on those knuckleheads, but lucky for the car's owner to have met you.

Amazing turn around Todd! I'm sure the owner was thrilled! I forwarded your contact info on to a friend of my clients who lives down your way. He has a couple of cars in need of some TLC and I told him you're the man to talk to.

That Vette was hammered hard.

The detail work you did is stunning. I hope the client is sending the bill to the dealer for reimbursement.

great job and lucky you with the test drive

Thank you. Yeah, the Z06 drive was fun. He had his drifting tires on the back so I did a little, err, drifting! It doesn't take much to get the wheels spinning on that beast! :)

Hey thanks my friend! I'm glad you appreciate the information as well as my sorry attempt at humor to keep everybody reading.

Thanks! Actually, the owner did get reimbursed from the dealer for work.

Great save Todd! I think the Blackfire/E-zyme combo was the perfect combo for this color. Thanks for sharing.

-Brent

Thanks, and I agree that they were the perfect combo. E-Zyme looks ridiculously good on a properly prepped finish, and this one was no exception.

Absolutely ridiculous work, Todd!

Ha...thanks Casey!

When I come up to Ohio next, I'm taking some Ezyme back with me, OK? Glad you agree. Great job, buddy!

Sure DJ, just come over, eat my food, and rob my supply cabinet! :)

simply stunning result. three :bow :bow :bow 's up. :2thumbs: this is the perfect example of never purchase sight unseen, NEVER. the owner must be following you around like a nursing puppy. :p

It's a shame to see the before pictures on such a beautiful car!

At least the owner found one of the best detailers in the country to bring it back to life and give it the attention it deserves!

Hard to believe it's even the same car!!

Top notch work once again!

Thanks! Yes this one was a bad deal, but at least it all turned out well in the end.

Thanks Rick...I look forward to a future project together with you. It's just a shame that Boston and Columbus aren't closer!

awesome work and pictures! That vette was a disaster coming from the dealer! How could a dealership even let a brand new car out like that?!

Great save! Nothing good can happen to a car sitting at a dealer for a year +.

I bought a 2000 SVT Contour in April of 2001 and it had multiple problems until I found Autopia a couple of years later and fixed it.:up

Thank you, and although I'm biased, I have to agree about the better than new part! :2thumbs:

Todd: Looks awesome. Great process and documentation.

Thanks!

Amazing detail! That was obviously not "new". But its better than new now!

Thanks. I think it's safe to say that the car didn't get cared for in the year that it was at the dealership.

Thanks. They could let it go like that because sometimes they simply don't care!

Excellent job bringing that back. :)

Stunning that a car with only 106 miles on it was that trashed.

Thanks Scott!

Thanks. Yeah, I'd say that there were a LOT of people climbing in and out of this car during that year, and no cleaning/maintenance at all.
