2008 Audi R8 Jet Blue Metallic

Today was probably one of the most thrilling and rewarding day I have had detailing a car. The car today was a 2008 Audi R8 in Jet Blue Metallic. After numerous cancellations with the client and problems with the Northeast weather in getting the car done, the weather today of 80 degrees and sunny was perfect to get this car completed.

The car only has 500 miles on the odometer and was in mint condition with only minor brake dust accumulation on the wheels. After going on the car thoroughly with my Brinkman and in the direct sun I found very little marring or swirls. Thank goodness for good dealer prep I guess.

The highlight of the day was the insistence of the client for me to actually drive the car and give him my thoughts on what I thought of it. I was extremely reluctant to drive it but the client insisted that I take it for a ride and tell him what I thought. Well what could I say? The car is simply amazing. 420 hp in a rear engined automobile with an exhaust note that just causes chills up and down your spine. It will surely be a day to remember. The client is set to receive 1 of the first 32 Nissan GTR's at the end of this month or the begining of July. I can't wait to get my hands on it. Its going to be a good summer :)

That was a really cool opportunity! I'm sure it was a thrill to drive. It's great to see a car owner that knows how important it is to properly maintain a car...even brand new. Good job.

What a beautiful car, Pat, and a great job you did. I remember you telling me a couple weeks ago the difficulty you were having hooking up with this guy - and now it's finally done. With that car, and the GT-R, this guy is definitely living the good life - as are you, who gets to detail them!:grinno:

Great writeup, Pat. Sounds similar to my day yesterday (pics up soon). Nice shots of the R8. What part of the vehicle was the first pic from?

Never seen that colour on an R8 before, nice shade of blue. Cool detail Pat!

Is the intro shot from the headlights?

Awesome! Great work on a stunningly beautiful car. Not only is that color amazing, but the body-color blades help make it the most gorgeous R8 I've ever seen.

beautiful work AND car:soscared:. this is the first one that i've seen without the dumb looking two tone effect on the sides. this form looks much better one solid color. :wow:

Pat- Great job, and thanks for sharing it!

Yeah, it looks *really* nice, with the side pieces in that color. Very tasteful :xyxthumbs
