Today was probably one of the most thrilling and rewarding day I have had detailing a car. The car today was a 2008 Audi R8 in Jet Blue Metallic. After numerous cancellations with the client and problems with the Northeast weather in getting the car done, the weather today of 80 degrees and sunny was perfect to get this car completed.
The car only has 500 miles on the odometer and was in mint condition with only minor brake dust accumulation on the wheels. After going on the car thoroughly with my Brinkman and in the direct sun I found very little marring or swirls. Thank goodness for good dealer prep I guess.
The highlight of the day was the insistence of the client for me to actually drive the car and give him my thoughts on what I thought of it. I was extremely reluctant to drive it but the client insisted that I take it for a ride and tell him what I thought. Well what could I say? The car is simply amazing. 420 hp in a rear engined automobile with an exhaust note that just causes chills up and down your spine. It will surely be a day to remember. The client is set to receive 1 of the first 32 Nissan GTR's at the end of this month or the begining of July. I can't wait to get my hands on it. Its going to be a good summer
