2008 Altima Coupe

Wow, that is one ugly car.

To the people thinking it's a poor-mans G35: You're all idiots.

I think it looks great, and clearly borrows a lot of the graceful G35 lines.

To you: wish the Karma button was working. Only 5 posts and you're already being a jerk. :bat

Interesting idea that the Mazda 6 has a driving "prowess" near the 3 Series. I think you definitely have to take a ride in a sport car to understand the feel of it. Then factor in the money you have!

Thanks for removing that rude post.

I think G35 owners are missing the point. Nobody is saying that the Altima is even half the car the G35 is. What we are saying is its looks like it, LOOKS ALONE, it can be mistaken for the G35 especially if you throw in a few mods. Get ready for the G35 conversion body kits! Personally I think it is a bad move on the part of Nissan/Infiniti and judging by the number of post by G35 owners on the internet upset that how dare people compare the two its going to be an interesting year or two until the G35 redesign :)

Exactly! However, it seems that the G35 coupe is being redesigned for the 2008 model year, so it won't be that far behind the 2008 Altima Coupe. I guess the lines of the Altima will remain a generation behind the Infiniti? lol

Well, the original post was edited. :lol

In a nicer way of saying it, the new Altima has no character. That's it.

It's ugly and lol-wheel drive. Why? I just can't see it being a competitor to the G35, only possibly to a three-year old G35 coupe when a secretary is looking for a "stylish" ride.

The Altima has styling, not style.

They're going to sell a ton of them things. G35 looks at Altima prices. I see the aftermarket being huge for that car and envision ricers putting Skyline badges on that. Unfortunate? Yes. Nissan just wants sales and they'll get 'em.

Nice car, but I wouldn't buy one personally. I, like many here, prefer RWD in any performance coupe or sedan i consider. One reason I stayed away from Acura. I don't foresee these taking away from G35 sales. As already mentioned, those shoppers will be cross-shopping with Lexus, BMW, Benz and perhaps Audi.

agreed. a drop with some nice rims, different grill and de-badged, it would look pretty clean..

Yeah, I agree with that. It needs a more agressive stance and some Enkei wheels on there. I think they should have made the wheel arches a lot more flared to make it look more sporty.

There's a few around town already and one at my apartment complex. This car has got some nice curves. It really does look good!

i'm personally not convinced they will sell a ton of them. in that price and performance range, a v6 fwd coupe is a tough sell. look at gm they've all but stopped making a car in that platform. dealers can give away monte carlos.

:usa

The local Nissan store has one. It's a damn nice car and it has it's place.

I have chuckle at those looking down on the Altima coupe because it is FWD. If it were an Audi coupe, some of the same people would be drooling over it.

The question is...

If someone asked you to detail it, would you turn it down?

e'nuff said!
