2007 Volkswagen GTI Correction

Great correction work Bob, and great to see those nasty water spots remove on a fine machine there. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Amazing work as always. That GTI was completely trashed. Looked like the previous owner drove through bushes to work. All those scratches. My fav color on the GTI.

Thanks Mike, lucky I am not a mod as I would have clipped your post like Todd did to me as I replied like you did in the middle of building the write up.................lol

farenheit gti

damn i almost had a heart attack. 8 months ago i sold my 2007 farenheit gti. and then this. thank god it wasnt mine i would be pissed at that abuse. i had number 4 in the 1200 run with chip, exhaust, oz wheels, alcon racing brakes. a track animal and the most fun on a track i ever had. the orange is hard to get the "glow" but excellent prep as shown by bob can make it happen. the lady bought mine cause she liked the color and would never be changing the chip program according to her hubby.

Terrific job, great results?

Why would the clear coat be so thin?

Looking at the car's condition it does not seem that anyone polished it too often.

A bad paint job? What else could be the cause?

Great job on the car. Color is growing on me. Your correction of paint is amazing but the work you did on the Glass is MAGIC-can you tell me what you used to remove the water spots and polish the glass to such a high level of clarity? Would love to try it on my 2002 QX4 that is suffering the same fate.

I made mention in the post about using Mark V water spot remover(Used the same type of product from CG in the past but this product has a little more bite) and Menz 203 with a orange hydro pad for polishing.

lol. I 'clip' upon request.

Its always great to see when somebody with the reputation of a Bob Willis (amongst many others) uses their talent to shine up a more normal car. Very cool, great color, and exacting work.

I always look forward to your write-ups, and this one in particular. I know someone with this car in this color, and I would LOVE to get my hands on it. Obviously it wouldn't look as good as this one, but I'd still like a crack at it!
