2007 Saleen Parnelli Jones Paint Correction & Detail

If there is a Lowe's near you, try to find the 7336 for $100-109.

www.coastaltool.com has the 7424 with the 5 inch coutnerweight for $115 or so (shipped?), get the 6 inch counter weight because most people sell the 6 inch backing plate (CMA.)

As for pads, I use almost everyone in my kits from CMA, www.properautocare.com

It should be DM-KIT for the part number.

Yes the 7336 has the 6 inch counter weight on it already.

The 7335, 7336, and 7424 are all basically the same polisher. The counter weight is different and the itnended market, the 733 series being stock sanders, but can easily be used as a polisher, same for the 7424, just need the sanding attachments....

Jason is right on. The 7336 IMO is the way to go. You can get it at your local Lowes store for $109. It already has the proper counterweight installed, so you can just get the PC kit from CMA and your ready to go. :up

Awesome. Is there a guide on properly using the PC on a car? I would hate to do more damage then good.

Thanks,

Spiro

Just finished today(10-18-2010) this is a car which needed some pretty good paint correction, but other than that the owner takes VERY good care of it(unlike the previously completed job I did last week......).

Grabber orange with orange/black interior, cool American Muscleness to change the pace up from the usual(lol) eurotrash..........

The beginning.

Deep marring around hood latch.

She looks great! In my opinion yellow is one of those colors that can really stand out and turn heads as long as it is in proper condition. This baby certainly is now. Great job!

Yeah, all your cars are easy one steppers with D151 Bob ^#(^

Nice job on that paint and love you got the black back in order on the graphics (much richer and deeper than before). Final product is now worthy of some staring and :drool5:

Yea, just one of your "typical" easy jobs Bob.:D

Once again, you deliver an outstanding job. I agree with Jon. When done right, this color looks fantastic.

Excellent correction work! Did you use the wool pad and compound on the black satin areas as well?

That would have jacked the graphics up!!, used Jesse's new finish polish(wolf's chemicals) with my Griots and finish pad with the "Slowness" (as in speed 2 on the machine, then back over it by hand with sealant as the final step).

Nice work but that color is putrid, all it needs is stop sign to swing out and stop traffic so the students can get on. C'mon Ford, do a yellow like the original Gone in 60 Seconds, not that Nick Cage crap - I'm talikng about the original!
