2007 Range Rover HSE

11k on the clock, this Range Rover provided some fun for Sunday. The paint had an incredible amount of bonded tar and other contaminants for the mileage, but once clayed (about an hour), the paint was nearly flawless underneath. The silver was like glass once finished.





Interior



- Folex and steam to clean entire interior

- TOL Tire Cleaner cut 1:1 on rubber mats

- Zaino Z5 Pro on wood, silver trim

- Zaino Z10 on leather, vinyl, rubber, plastic

- Zaino Z8 in jams

- Stoner's Invisible Glass on glass

Snack time !

Exterior



- Dawn Wash

- Zaino Z18 Clay on paint, glass, wheels (entire hour to complete)

- TOL Tire Cleaner cut 1:1 on tires, wells, plastic trim

- GR40 to clean plastic trim further

- P21s Wheel Cleaner on wheels



- HTEC via rotary and LC CCS Yellow Cutting Pad @ 1200rpm on paint transfer

- Zaino Z-AIO via PC and LC CCS Green German Polishing Pad @ 6

- Zaino Z5 Pro on paint, glass, lighting

- Zaino Z-CS on wheels

- Zaino Z8 final wipedown



- Zaino Z16 on tires x 2

- CG VRP cut 2:1 for wells, plastic trim

wood trim has a clear coat just like the paint so he used it to remove the scratches and clean it up.

Z5 Pro is a sealant, not really a *polish*, per se. The wood was in perfect shape and the addition of Z5 Pro added gloss and protection.

What if you're working with wood that isn't in perfect shape, and you're needing to polish out some scratches...What's a option there?



I wish I had known about this over the weekend. I worked a Lexus RX300, and the wood was in really good condition. I could've used the Z5. Time to order!!!

Wait Sean, what color was the wood? My Range has a dark "matte" wood that I wouldnt touch with Z5.

Yea z-5pro is a sealant so no correcting is going to happen. It *MIGHT* look like it fixed very minor swirls/scratches but its just filling them in. If you have any type of marring or swirls I wouldnt really use z-5 on it, I would go with a "polish".
