LastDetail
Whose yer DADDY!??!?!?!?!
Well for any of you who read my "Wanna come over?" thread yesterday/last night this is the product of my day of detailing.
This car belongs to my fiance, Suzanne, and is basically the one nice thing that she has for herself. She is the most selfless person in the world, constantly giving gifts to others and I practically had to force her to buy this car about 2 months ago, basically because I knew she really really wanted it. Because she loves the car so much I love detailing it for her. The color is "Smokey Granite"
ANYWAY, up until this detail I had no experience with Zaino so this was my first shot outta the box with the stuff. In the first couple shots the car is wearing EX-P with whatever topper of Natty's may be left after 2 weeks.
As you can see it has decent reflection but no real *pop* also the flake is EXTREMELY muted. The only other problem with this particular car is the oversized brakes which dust an incredible amount. But hey with over 300 hp to the wheels I am very happy that the brakes are as severe as they are.
Process: I basically followed the rules set out in the handy little Zaino instruction booklet to the letter, as I had no experience with the products.
-Dawn Wash (heavy concentration) I actually found this to be the hardest step in the whole process, so many years of detailing experience made it difficult to wash with Dawn.
-This car has had some form of sealant or another on it since day 1 so there was no I repeat NO contamination in the paint, smooth as glass.
-Blot dry with a couple WW's and crack a beer. All sealant and wax is completely stripped. Dawn is scary stuff.
-Z5 (zfx'd) x 2 with a Z6 wipedown between (it might have been three coats, tough to remember) Applied with the square terry cloth applicator supplied by Zaino.
-Z2 pro (zfx'd) x 3 with a Z8 wipedown between. Applied with the square terry cloth applicator supplied by Zaino.
I only mixed one ounce of each product and found that it was more than enough for 3 coats of each on the car. Spread it thin and this stuff goes a long way.
-Tires got Mothers Duration Tire Gel
-Wells got no touch tire dressing
-Windows Stoners (outside) NXT window cleaner (inside, tint side)
On to the pictures.
After Dawn Wash, under the halogens.
After all applications it was really dark so I took a couple garage pictures.
This is a reflection of the targets from the first time I took Suzanne shooting.
More to follow.........
