I traded in my '06 Mazdaspeed6 for this new '07 S2000 last week. The dealer was eager to move it so gave me a nice deal. Basically they threw in every installed accessory for free. Thanks to everyone for the feedback in my post in the Car & Driver section of Autopia.
It had been with the dealer long enough to get pretty major swirls in it. I started with the PC to see what it could do, with the intention of moving to the rotary if the PC didn't cut it. But the PC cleaned up the paint fairly quickly, so I stuck with it. The soft Honda CC is great when correcting, but not so much for maintenance. I did a very gentle foam gun wash with a BHB on a panel I polished and noticed some light marring afterwards. :nixweiss Oh well. I'll deal with it and try to be even more careful in my washing technique
I tried SIP, OC and SSR 2.5. I settled on 2.5 as it seemed to work better in the sun than the other two.
I still need to do a bit of work on the hood, trunk and driver's side of the car. I'll likely go over the entire car once again with a finish polish after that.
Wash
Sonus green clay - surprisingly removed practically nothing
SSR 2.5
Poli-Seal
Please excuse the semi-dirty wheels. I was only working on dealing with the paint.
BTW, I love this car!
Just one before of the damage. This is fairly representative of the condition of the entire car with the exception of the hood and trunk, which were worse.
