Hey guys, I'm new here and to be honest... just like the rest of the members here I am just car crazy ever since an early age. I'm only 16 right now, but I am handy at detailing, I just wanted to show you guys pictures of our Corvette and Navigator. These are my parent's cars and I'm the only one detailing them. I just love looking at the finished product and being proud of myself for doing a great job. Anyways enough about me, here's the pictures, just to tell you the truth, the corvette pics were taken 2 days after detailing. The Navigator is just right there and then...

What I used for both of our vehicles:

-Meguiar's Gold Class car wash - for washing

-Meguiar's NXT Generation car wax - for waxing

-Meguiar's Gold Class Leather cleaner/conditioner - for cleaning the leather interior

-Meguiar's Tire Foam = for getting dirt off of the tires

-Meguiar's Hot Shine Tire Gel - for giving the tires an incredible shine

-Meguiar's Hot Rims Multi Piece - for cleaning the chrome rims

(Strictly Meguiar's products as you can see..)

and here's the Navigator: Tell me what you guys think of the vette and navigator

Sorry it was getting late so I only took 4 pics... This was before I waxed it though, but I didn't get to take pics of that because it was really dark. These both are our vehicles by the way.

vette looks good but not a fan of the navi, it does look gaudy (too much shiny stuff on it ha)

Yeah I know but at the end of the day it's all about personal preference. I just like lots of chrome for some reason lol. Even though it has lots of chrome on it, the pictures don't state anything, in real life it actually looks really good with the chrome on it.

only 16 yrs. old heh? your good, keep up the good work.if you enjoy it enough you can make a living at it.:xyxthumbs

Thanks and don't get me wrong, I do enjoy it but I wouldn't want to make a living out of it. I only detail family members cars and my cars but I don't charge anyone lol. What I hopefully want to become is either an architect or a automotive designer. You can check out some of my drawings here: frozensubby - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I have been drawing since about 3 years old according to my memory and my parents. I have never taken an art class in my life even though I've been urged to. I learned everything on my own about the textures, lighting and shading added onto the drawings. I don't trace my artworks and never have and I draw either from memory or looking at a picture. The only tools I use are graphite pencils and an eraser. I draw on an average of 18-25 minutes excluding the F40 which took me almost 35.

Wow! Impressive drawings. Um, I can't even draw a circle or stick figure well. My creativity glass is forever half empty.

How did the NXT look on the navigator in comparison to without?

Thanks lol, drawing takes practice..

Anyways, the NXT made the navigator look 100 times better because it almost removed all of the heavy swirls that could be seen in direct sunlight. After the wax, the paint shined and you could see reflections throughout the truck's exterior. I will be sure to take pictures the next time I wax it with NXT so you can see the results.
