2006 Porsche 911 C4S Convertible (Black)

Thank for the compliments! I also think at times on certain car surfaces that after extensive polishing and waxing that the surface has so much surface tension that streaking occurs that way.

This is an amazing foto. Clearly in the "10 Best" category!!

Great work as always Chris! :bow :bow :bow :bow

I remember last year when I did the 328GTS you were saying how you hadn't done a Ferrari yet and now you have all high ends cars! Congratulations :goodjob

You do some amazing work and get some amazing cars to work on. I can only imagine what we get to drool over next.

Where are the pictures of this weekend's detail???????????????????????????????????????

LOL - Thomas I got screwed over somewhat. The owner called me the day before and switched cars on me. I did his Ferrari F430 instead. The "other" car was getting some work done on it and will be detailed by me in two weeks!

Chris,

I have been seeing all your work and WOW simply that.

Since you did that first ferrari F430 3 or so months back and good cars been coming ;)

that guy sure kept his promise and in that he deserved your quality of work.

This car however is simply amazing detail done on it, it is black and it is beautiful car

and no other color can show a quality detail like this one can do!.

I want your input on the Destiny Glaze by Zymol, is it really worth $500?

since you are using that line in all the nice cars; what’s the durability on it you would say?

Would it match FK1000 in protection and durability? "Forgot the name of prep FK that beeds water before FK1000".

I am really interested in the Vintage Glaze and just want your opinion if this does work

as it looks and if it lasts as it should!?

also do you apply them all by hand as instructed or did you find a more convenient way?

Again Perfection is meant and achieved by a handful of people, you are one of them in this board.

Well thank you for the kind words...you should see some of the cars coming in to my hands this coming two weeks. Anyways to answer some of your questions...

I have only have the Pebble Beach Sampler Kit I have been using for the Zymol Line up. While I have used Destiny, Atlantique, Vintage, and Ital...I truly have very little input I can give on durability. The cars I have used them on are usually cars that see the road no more then 3k-4k miles a year. So durability results will be skewed compared to the "normal" population.

The only FK product I currently use is the QD's FK425 and the other blue QD (forgot the #). So I can't compare the beading and durability of that wax either.

After using Vintage several times, Im very much considering purchasing the lifetime refill jar. This makes more sense to me since I'm doing more just then my car. If you havent already I would strongly recommend trying Zymol Concours first (about $164).

Im thinking, if I ever find the time to apply Destiny to my Acura CL-S which is an outside car daily driven to monitor durability.

Hope this helps somewhat as Im not able to 100% satisfy your questions

Also forgot to mention that when I first used these hand applied waxes, I would take a little bit of wax into my hands, rub them together, and spread some on the panel by hand. Very quickly I would take a clean foam applicator and spread the wax already on the panel more evenly. Then buff off with a MF towel. Since I have had more and more experience with the waxes Im able to more efficiently do it by hand completely from now on.

Fantastic job on the Porsche. As a Porsche owner, I'd be thrilled with that outcome. I'd also be thrilled to own that car, but let's get realistic. Very well done.
