2006 Lexus GX470 Quick Detail

Lexuslover

06 GX470 titanium silver
This was a quick detail just to show off my SUV to the members.

I did a full detail back in May, and it still has the PB EXP, and about 6 coats of original Natty's White on it. I washed it this morning, using Meg's deep crystal shampoo, and a chaniel wash mitt. I dried it using an absorber, and added a coat of PB QW+ to restore the protection. Tires and wheel wells were cleaned using purple power APC, and then dressed with Armorall, as I am trying to use up some that my wife bought me, and I don't like to waste aerospace 303 protectant on tires.

I pressure washed the trailer, and washed it with APC. I tried PB SSR1 and SSR2 on it, as well as some cheap mothers carnuba paste wax I had laying around. It doesn't look any better on the test spots than it did after the APC cleaning. Any recomendations? The 2 polaris XLTs inside are imaculate though. Planning on selling the whole package this fall. No time to ride anymore.

PwC as well as PP are on my list to try with my next purchase. I figured if it didn't improve with SSR1 and then carnuba over it though, it would hardly be worth trying PwC. It also has a cheesy woodgrain type of texture to the aluminum, which is a pain to get the entire surface of. Like I mentioned, I'm hoping to sell it, so I don't want to put too much work into it.

The PwC and the PP are extremely good paint cleaners. The SSR 1 is a finishing polishing with no cleaning ability. Two different animals. Ask Steve for his new special goo - This is a killer product that I used on my hood at detailing weekend. I have also tried areas on my motorcycle and also on chrome rims on a next door neighbors car that had baked on brake dust, and it worked beautifully.
