My friend picked this beauty up at the Harley shop at 11 am this morning, and by noon I was there bringing it up to snuff. It was covered in swirls and holograms, and the bright work needed some attention. All in all, it was in great shape and just needed a little love that the dealership didn't take time to do.

Upon arrival, this is what I found.

First things first, that ugly windscreen had to go. We removed it, along with the seat and sissy bar. It was a dusty mess under the seat, and there was some scuff marks in the rear fender where the seat had rubbed. HD Touch made easy work of the dust and dirt.

I done a full waterless wash with HD Touch, clayed with Clay Magic Blue and Touch for lube, and polished all of the chrome and stainless with HD Metal by hand. I used the Griots 3 inch polisher and a LC Hydro Tech Tangerine pad with HD Adapt to remove the defects and swirls in the soft Vivid Black paint.

I went back over it with HD Speed and a LC CCS grey pad to take care of some micro marring and towel marks (soft paint), then went over the entire bike with HD Express.

Total time on this bike was only 2 hours.
Thanks for looking

man that vivid black paint scratches just looking at it. mine is a constant battle to keep decent. great work. :bigups

Thank you guys. Ill be going back over this bike this summer, and really shoot for perfection since I've got the owner talked into Opti-Coat. Should make that Vivid Black much more manageable.
