This is my new 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 with the "NightRunner" appearance package.

The NightRunner package includes the following:

- Black Chrome grill

- Blacked out front headlights

- Black Chrome 20" wheels

- Completely debadged except for Hemi badge & NightRunner

- Brilliant Black Crystal Pearlcoat paint

- Embroidered headrests

I didn't have the time to do a full detail and swirl removal (since it was getting late), so I only did minor swirl correction & some light polishing to bring the paint to life. I'll probably go all out once spring rolls around, but this will work for summer.

- Meg Gold class wash (2 bucket method)

- spot clayed trouble areas with Sonus green clay

- re-washed

- Sonus SFX2 with Sonus green pad, w/ PC @ 5

- Klasse AIO with Sonus blue pad, w/ PC @ 5

- NXT top coat

- NXT Insane Shine for tires (best OTC stuff I've tried yet!)

Had I had more time, I would have further polished and sealed the truck...but I just didn't have the time & just wanted it to look good.

Now for the pics:

Sweet Truck...The Night Runner package is sharp truck. Any shots of the interior?

You missed the underside of your tires with the Insaine Shine  :dance

Interior pics; sure thing! I've got some WeatherTech mats on the way for winter, so those ugly rubber things are gone!

As far as missing the underside of the tires...I always roll forward about 2ft. so I can get to the underside. However, in the pics, I hadn't rolled forward yet...I was so anxious to get the pics

Thanks for the interior pics...I like how the cupholders are in the middle and the "flip-up" seat isn't there. I have a Black 05' Standard Cab (Will Post a Click and Brag Post later this week).

:wow: Really nice detail! Cool truck too, looks a lot better without all the badging on the doors where is usually says 'Dodge' and those wheels are great!

Very nice detail, I really like the look of the Night Runners. Did the taillights come like that or did you have them tinted aftermarket?

very nice job, i like the look of insane shine too but i dont like the texture it leaves, also messy in windy areas, very sticky stuff to remove if not removed immediately. however big tires it covers so much better than liquids that i use. i love the look of that dodge. i deal with the same exact badges on every dodge i work on it really makes yours pleasing to the eye.

Looks great, but I'm surprised you liked the Insane Shine. Are you using the spray? Because I got a lot of it slinging off onto the paint so I just bought Endurance High Gloss Gel to try out.

Is it just me or is orange peel getting worse and worse on new cars? :angry

No, they're aftermarket...I actually tinted them myself. It's Lamin-X smoke film (polyurethane adhesive film, also used as paint protection...clear bra). I had purchased the film for my WRX, but I sold that and got the truck so I just slapped it on there.

Yeah, you have to be carefull or it's all over the car. But, I have had virtually 0 spinoff on either my truck or car, and it's very easy to see on a black truck.

I haven't had any problems with spinoff at all, actually, this is probably the best stuff I've tried to date; I'm using the spray.

about the orangpeel, I couldn't agree more!! I was thinking about wetsanding, but I'd rather not...I think I'll just deal with it.

I like this package offered from Dodge! I wish more companies would do this sort of thing offering cool appearance packages by contracting with aftermarket companies. Like my X-SP which comes with Enkei wheels, nerf-bars, etc...really makes it unique and rare.
