This detail was one that I didn't exactly look forward to but I truly enjoyed it when it was compete. I was reminded how much I enjoy working with Ultrafina, and how much power M105 has but finishes so nice!

Meg's NXT wash using two-bucket method with grit guards

Schmitt mitt

APC+ on wheel wells and tires

APC+ on lower half of car

Wheel wells and tires got Meg's Hyperdressing 4:1

Paint

Clayed with Blue Meg's mild clay bar using Meg's last touch as lube

Meg's 105 on LC CCS orange pad on Flex @ 6

3M Ultrafina on LC CCS grey pad on Fex @ 4-6-4

Meg's 105 on LC CCS 4" orange on UDM @ 6 on small or narrow areas

I love these kind of details...small car, great color, daily driver, and cutting right through all those horrible swirls.

Bad washing technique by the owner?

It's amazing how consistent all those swirls were!

But great job erasing all of that!

Only wash I could see this one getting would be a tunnel wash, owner purchased it brand new.

nice work ! do you feel the ultra fina did a good job of finishing down the 105? How was the 105 on the flex with the foam, i have some on my next order?

ultrafina was fantastic I love the way it finishes paint, the 105 finished down awesome as well there was not a whole lot for the ultrafina to do except for ensuring smooth and level finish. you will be very happy with 105, the only downside is the work time it gives you. Many other people have posted that adding OP or another polish will increse work time but reduce correction.

Wow, great work! I tried the M105 on an orange CCS pad with the Flex the other day and the results were not good: it flashed within 10 seconds, giving me NO working time...

Great work, how long of work time did you actually get would you say? How much product were you using on your flex, and what technique did you use (pick it up off the paint or on your pad?) Sorry for the 3rd degree but that is excellent work with the flex/105 combo

105 didnt give me much work time at all i tryed to stay in small areas when it was worked in to ensure that it would not dry or gum up on the paint to fast.

I also applied 2 dots about dime size to the paint and picked up the polish and quickly worked it in. I was amazed at how fast the polish broke down and how well it performed.

I t looks like the only way to go with 105 is pick it up off the panel. I think my next combo im going to try is 105 with ultrafina or 1z .

I only hear good things when people are picking it up off the pannel, while 105 worked really well for me my favorite part of this detail is getting to use my new Nikon D40! that was trilling for me.

I had a situation the other day where I had to use M105 with a damp pad (pad had been washed, but hadn't dried completely). I got most of the water out of the pad with a waffle weave towel, but it was still a bit damp. Working time was definitely improved by the remaining water in the pad.

Now, if I'm using M105 with the Flex, I intentionally start with a damp pad and give it a shot of QD once in a while. It doesn't extend the working time a huge amount, just enough that I feel like I'm getting the whole section worked before it starts to flash.

YMMV, but it's been working for me.

ObOnTopic: For the OP, simply awesome turnaround on that car. I imagine the owner's jaw dropped quite a bit when he first saw the transformation.
