2005 Porsche Carrera GT

Had the pleasure to work on this supercar a couple weeks back. This was a recent acquisition by the owner of the CS I just posted. This example was another cream-puff, with around 4k on the clock. No defects worth noting on this, just pure automotive art. The attention to detail and design on this car would make even the most discerning critic stand in aw. A lot of time on this one was spent perfecting every little surface, down to the polished carbon fiber fender wells (yep, no matte plastic here).

Interior

- Vacuum/brush out seems/crevices

- Leatherique Pristine Clean to clean leather

- Zaino Z10 to condition leather

- FK1 #425 to clean glass, gauges, carbon fiber, chrome, jams

- Zymol Glasur on carbon fiber, chrome, jams

Engine

- FK1 #425 to clean

- Zymol Glasur on carbon, paint

Exterior

- Meguiar's Gold Class Wash (no clay needed)

- EFHI cut 6:1 on tires, wells, exhaust tips

- Menzerna PO85RD via rotary and LC CCS Red Finishing Pad @ 1300 rpm

- Zymol Glasur on paint, wheels, calipers, carbon fiber

- FK1 #425 to finish

Looks truly great! I did one in the same color and it really glows when finished! Not a fun car to feather into a garage though huh :furious:

Ya, they are pretty tough to move around. Got to to get used to just working the clutch. I have stalled the Carrera GT more than any car I have ever driven. Just don't want to burn out that clutch.

The car looks awesome. I think you have sold me on the Zymol Glazur:up

Geeze those things are beauties. Nice clean up and thanks for sharing your work: looks like a nice collection in that garage so I hope to see more of 'em ;)

The owner left his parked on the hill of his steep driveway, of course he was not home when I needed to move it.

You cant feather it like a normal car, heavy clutch you need to give it some real gas until it catches and then work from there. Up the hill was almost impossible but I got it without stalling, once on flat ground it was annoying but not as bad.

I heard how tuff the C-GT clutches were, I was a little freaked out that first time:hifive:

Thanks everyone.

Setec: Yes. The last pic is the CGT in the wash bay, the rest are of it pulled into the main "storage" area.

Wow that's amazing work done on the porsche.. Just looks like the carrera GT wallpaper I saw on the internet.. Nice work.
