2005 Lexus GS

You'll never see Lexus truly offer stickshifts, Toyota doesn't cater to niche marketing unfortunately. I also think the car would be a lot more credible if it had a stick.

Not in the GS anyway. Don't forget the IS300 5speed manual.

To blackcaraddict- theres a lot more to a car than sheetmetal. I dont think anyone would accuse Toyota of not knowing how to make a car. Continually excelling not only in reviews and dependability studies, but in sales.

Styling is subjective, but quality is not.

True and Toyota/Lexus makes incredible cars, but the blandness of the Camry for example, really turns me off. Solara, yes, Camry, no way!

I like the current GS line and I'm sure I'll like the 2005.

I actually think this is one of the better designs to come out Lexus in a while. There are no funky wheels or overly styled clear tail lights, or crazy chronograph style dash board.

Toyota makes great cars depending on what you want. If you desire impeccable reliability, great fit and finish, good customer service, good ergonomics and a good value, then they probably make the best cars in the world. If you want sportiness, driver communication and feed back, aggressive and/or cutting edge styling and performance you are better off looking at some other vehicles.

None of this is intended to degrade or put down any Toyota and/or Lexus vehicle, they are fine automobiles. Just for my personal preference, Toyota and/or Lexus don’t excite me and do not offer what I am looking for in car.

But just try and fine one! Its "offered".

I agree, especially with more exciting and upscale looking midsized sedans out there like the Accord or the Maxima.

OH MY GOODNESS does that interior look terrible close up! Nissan Altima, anyone?

Hmm...the style of its not bad, but I really dont know what to make of the wood...

Its very un Lexus-like I agree.

Still, gotta see one in person...

Ehhhhhhhhhh.

I'll give Lexus something: they were the only luxury brand at our small Buffalo Auto Show that when you close the doors, there were no rattles. MB, BMW, Acua, Jaguar...all rattled. The worst were the Infinitis. After sitting in the Infinitis, I don't know why people spend that kind of money on them. It's beyond me. Especially when even Kia gets it right: the Sorrento's doors close with a nice "THUMP." The Sorrento impressed me the most out of the whole show.

different body but I like the looks of it, not quite like any of their other cars I don't know a bigger IS300? or not
