2005 Crossfire

[Auto Makeover]

This car came out of the dealer looking like crap to begin with and then it was taken to two detail shops and both places said there is not much they can do with it . All I can think is why are these places still in business.



Foam Bath

Clay with Sonus ultra fine

Some areas got Power Gloss green foam 1700rpm

Sip green foam 1700rpm

Sip / Op 50/50 mix black foam 1500rpm

106 FA white foam 1300rpm

then I try something different using 85Rd after 106 IMO it looks little better

PO85RD blue foam 1000rpm

then a really good wipe down with Menzerna FI

I too have done a crossfire, my take on them........some of the softest paint I have ever done. If I wiped down too hard with my MF I would marr the paint. I personally think that 3M Ultrafina would be great on this paint.



In short, I'm sure you will see this auto again, and by the looks of it they will be back to you! Well done.

It always seems to amaze me at how cars with a price tag like that can have some much orange peel in the paint. You would think they could do better. I have even seen some infinitys that way. But most people don't look that close to defects like we do I guess and the companies know that.
