2005 Accord (Collinite 845) - 2006 MDX (Jetseal) Durability Test

Well I finally had a day off and wanted to do a quick detail on the vehicles. This was not a full detail just a paint prep for the winter months. I originally had souveran on both vehicles but with about 13" of snow the past week it was pretty dead so my process was.

Both vehicles received 2 coats of there chosen LSP to ensure coverage. I am going to moniter each of them to see which one lasts longer in the New England Weather.

The 845 IW removes any glaze put underneath it. I've been using the 845 for years as well as VM and found that I was wasting my VM. Instead, I now use AIO as a base. It cleans and shines very well and the IW bonds perfectly.

Both vehicles look great! You are lucky to have a white Christmas, all of our snow melted this weekend. I'm sure we will get more though this winter season :)

Happy Holidays!

Yeah, the IW has such a high solvent content it removes the glazing effect of the VM.

VM is a perfect base for most non abrasive carnaubas paste (and some liquids) like Carnuaba Moose, Nattys, Souveran, #16, 3M, Mother's, Blitz, etc...

So next time, if you have some AIO or equivalent, give it try instead of the VM and see how you like it.
