This is my daily drive\Family car :P

My wife was away with the camera so I didn't get any before shots, but the car had alot of swirls and small scratches here and there, Most of the scratches I could not get rid of. It would need a more aggresive combo. and to be honest probably a better polisher (both the man and the machine, since I'm an amature.)

I think the VW have a really hard clearcoat. I had 5-6 passes many places and couldn't really tell the difference other than the dullness that ofcourse appear when using heavier grit polish.

But enough excuses.:nervous2:

Process:

Megs NXT shampoo

Pinnacle Poly Clay

Pinnacel XMT #3

Pinnacle XMT #1

Pinnacle carnauba Finishing glaze

pinnacle Carnauba Paste wax

Wheels and wheel wells were not given any amount of time since new rims are coming on next week.

Im looking forward to getting The Flex 3401 VRG instead of the Cotech **** I have now.

Maybe that and Menzerne SIP will cut more into the clearcoat..

Car looks really good! Dont foget to treat the wheel wells though. even just spraying some tire foam in there makes them look better, although its not very durable.

Thank you very much. I need to buy something for the wheel wells.. not sure what but I guess if i make a search on here I will find something suitable.

I cant wait to start detailing my 1995 Toyota Supra TT, But that has the factory paint and that is a single stage.. It would be my first time buffing single stage paint.. any advice on this.. I guess it will be nowhere near as hard as my VW paint.

I must say Carnauba Paste wax is Awesome on black. I must give that most of the credit for the deep wet shine.

Single stage white is supposed to be hard while the other colors are supposed to be soft but like always start with the least aggressive method to find out what works. The other thing with SS paint is that you'll get paint transfer onto the pads so don't freak out when your pads start turning the color of your car, it's normal. Good luck with the supra, can't wait to see it.

Thank you very much. I will wait to detail the soup until i get my Flex machine and menzerna products. Im also going to detail a 1994 Escort RS Cosworth for a friend of mine.. Guess I will practice on his car with the flex before i start on mine. :P

The supra is black but in pretty good condition. Is this single stage black hard to get into a nice shine. Paint condition of the supra is actually better than my passat so I have big hopes for it. But the passat has about 80k miles on itand the supra has 21k so thats a big difference.

So what megs products would you recommend to do the supra.. I guess I can post som pictures before I start the work so you can estimate condition even though it wont be easy to tell..
