2004 vette

So this is the second or third year I`ve done this vette. It was fairly beat when I saw it for the first time. Paint is showing white on corners so I can`t even spend time buffing to lessen the massive amount or rids. So all I did this time is hit with essence then topped with black hole which got natty`s black paste wax twice over.
Here`s the before

Lookin good. Love a clean deep black....car. You know what always makes me laugh, is the crazy amount of people who will never own anything but black.... And have no business owning black. Ok thanks for letting me vent in your thread.

nice work .. yes even though some people shouldn`t own black cars , it only leads to more work for detailers and more products for us :)

Looks good, but why Essence and not Reflect? Seems like the composition of Essence would not work well with Black Hole and a wax. What did it look like after polishing with Essence?

1-I only have essence and don`t have reflect plus I`ve never used reflect.

2-I did essence like 24 hrs before getting to the use of black hole and black wax does not seem to have any side effects as I paint prepped the paint before black hole.

And to answer how it looked, it looked the best it has since the client has owned it. I can almost swim in it. Lol

If the customer is happy that`s all that really matters

He won`t see it till tomorrow, and he sees the work I do very often as I sublease space from him and he is always amazed at how stuff comes out and patience I have. Lol

Looking good. Love the C5`s. Just opened my Essence for its first use today. Black 2009 CTS of a coworker`s. Did one panel to show him what his non-metallic black paint should look like. Essence is awesome.

I was asking about Essence because I have heard others using wax after Essence on other detailing sites but I believe you are the first one to use it that way here. I use Essence on a regular basis and am happy to hear you are having great results using it for a base coat for wax. Has anyone tried topping Essence with a sealant?

At one time, all 4 of our cars (one of which was/is 2004 Vette) were black...it was exhausting but they all sure looked good for the 5 minutes after washing when they were clean. This was about 5 years ago when I though $80 each year for the Zaino kit was expensive for car care. Thankfully I discovered coatings last Spring...life is much easier now (although somewhat more expensive).

Have never tried Essence...maybe this Spring after polishing what`s left of 2016 WG Uber Ceramic off Corvette and WRX before stepping up their coatings a bit. Think Essence will remove the by-then 12 month old WG Uber Ceramic or something a bit more aggressive will be needed (Menz 2400 perhaps?)

I dunno folks, I`ve had 3 black cars but nothing was as hard to keep swirl-free than lapis blue.

Nice job on the vet, and good prescription for the aging paint - BH and Natty`s.
