2004 Mustang Rises from the Dead

I had the toughest detail that I personally ever faced. A relative has a 2004 Mustang in black (of course...why couldn't it be silver???). He had to take it off the road back in November and it has been sitting untouched ever since, except for the times of wiping off bird bombs with Windex and towel paper :wall

So I decided to give it a try, and it came out better than I ever thought. I really wanted to save it until Poorboys Weekend, but couldnt work it out.

Once again, thank you Sean for your tips & inspiration.

Thank you Steve, for I just got a free dinner thanks to Poorboys...:drunk

That is a 2004 :flamed

That door....what did they do to the door lmao !

Nice detail, you increased the value of the car by at least 5k i would say :headbang

Thank to everyone for the kind words. Everything I learned, I learned here so here's to you guys!! :bow

Sean, the interior is still showroom new, Thanks to you! (Sean did the interior for me back on his birthday).

Don't need you anymore?? Where is Luke without Obe Wan??????

Tdekany,

I used a PC and Advanced 7.5 inch pads from ProperAutoCare. The first pass with the FPII I ran at 4.5-5 with a yellow pad. The second pass I ran with a white polishing pad at about 4. I find the FPII dries out too fast if I run it any faster. (I wish I had a few different polishes to try, it was the perfect car to experiment with, but it came up out of nowhere. All I had was FPII and Blue PwC, which I didnt want to use in case it hid any of the swirls. I havent used it enough to really have a good feel for it yet. I really would have like to try Optimum.)

I then did the first coat of the "New" EX with a Grey Finishing Pad and the last coat by hand.
