ty for the compliments...

1. washed w/ simonize car wash ( wanted Meguiars NXT but they didnt have any)

2. Dryed with a 100% Microfiber drying towel

3. Clay Bar - Clearkote

4. 2nd wash and dry

5. Paint cleaner - Klasse AIO

6. Polish - Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish

7. First Coat of Wax - Turtle Wax Platinum

8 Second Coat of Wax - Meguiars NXT Liquid Wax ( I also have the paste but used the liquid this time)

9. Went around car w/ a polishing towel

For the tires i used armor all and for the wheels i used Turtle Wax F21 wheel cleaner.. Tire shine i used Armor All Extreme Tire Shine Gel....

For the windows i used Meguiars NXT window cleaner ( great stuff)....

This is my routine, if you guys have any other suggestions please let me know...

Nice job, its good to see another Mainer into detailing, most people in this state take really questionable care of their cars.

If you're looking for NXT wash around here, the boat store by the Maine Mall and Wal-Mart in Scarborough both carry it.

Great job! You don't need to dry before claying as cj99si pointed out and you should have just stopped with the TW Platinum. NXT would have removed the TWP when you applied it so you wasted your time and product. You could just go to the NXT after polishing. Maybe a nice coat of Natty's or P21S would make it look even more stunning.

ty for the compliments on the detail and the color... it is blazing copper and definitely beautiful especially when kept clean....

you know i never realized that i didnt have to dry before claying, boy that was stupid

as far as the wax, why would NXT strip off the Platinum? if that is the case how do you go about applying 2 coats of wax?

To add coats you just need to use a wax without cleaners in it. NXT has cleaners, as do most waxes that you're going to find in a store. I'd reccomend going to the nearest Harley dealer (I think theres on in Kittery) and picking up a tin of S100 bike wax, its around 15 bucks and although its marketed to motorcycles, I bet it'll look great on your color.
