I saw a posting in the regional section of this forum asking for someone to detail their G35. Being closeby, I responded, saying I'm not a pro but I'd be willing to do it for free, just because I do enjoy the occasional challenge of a thorough detail. So yesterday he dropped it off and I went to work.
Overall, the paint ended up being in pretty good condition. There were a few spots here and there that proved a bit too stubborn considering the time/equipment I had, but overall the car polished up nicely.
I think he was happy when he picked it up. And although I did this for free, I was very appreciative of the generous tip.
Process:
Interior:
Vacuum
Wash floor mats
Spot clean interior carpet
303 plastic/vinyl
Pinnacle leather cleaner followed by conditioner
IG on glass
Exterior:
4* gel wheel cleaner (love this stuff!)
Wash
Clay
SSR 2.5 via PC w/yellow SFX pad
SSR 1 via PC w/white SFX pad
EX-P
Pinnacle Souveran
The interior was already in pretty good shape, so I didn't photo any afters of it. Also, this was the first time using Souveran. I now know why it's highly praised. Very nice stuff.
