2004 Ford Mustang Mach 1

Hail the power of Quattro
This vehicle belongs to a coworker and it was in serious need of a major detailing. Water spots were bad enough to make the paint have a gritty texture. There were also numerous, deep scratches and swirls all over the body. The interior was fairly clean, so that wasn't much of a problem. I got the vehicle late afternoon on Friday and it was already too dark to get any decent before shots. Total time spent was somewhere around 8 hours.

Process:

-Valugard ABC system
-SSR 2.5 with medium cutting pad(didn't cut through the water spots, even after two passes
-SSR 3 with medium cutting pad
-SSR 1 with polishing pad
-PB's EX-P
-Meguiars NXT Liquid Tech Wax x3
-DP High Performance Glass Restorer on all exterior glass

Interior(I forgot to take pictures:wall):
-Meguiars Interior Shine
-Meguiars Gold Class Leather Cleaner/Conditioner
-Eagle One 20/20

I wasn't completely content with the turnout because there was still some water spots and some lighter swirls. I probably could have got them out, but for the money I was charging, I didn't want to spend another 2-3 hours on the paint. My coworker was very pleased though. He asked me what he needed to do to keep this finish and I told him to bring it to me once a month for a wash and wax. He happily agreed.

I just found this picture of the vehicle I took on my phone. It's pretty poor quality, but it will give you an idea of how bad the paint was. The picture was taken after the Valugard ABC system.

I don't know what it is with the 2004 mustangs the paint doesn't want to let go of the swirls I won't tell you how many times I went over my hood with my PC and a L.C. orange cut pad and I still have some really light swirls on it not to mention the orange peel we won't even get in to that one! I think though you did a excelant job on that mustang! and you should be proud of your work...:bow :rockon

Deja Vu! I have done the same car (diff owner) twice...Great car to work on, although the hood can be a bit tricky.

Great work overall!
