So I decided to take another crack at polishing the G with the Cyclo and Automagics new "Risk Free" System. www. automagic.com Well the first time I used it about 2 months ago, I had a problem with marring using the 3 step method with the pad a polish combo Automagic says to use. Well I've done a lot of research about detailing the infiniti paint and come to found, all of us agree, IT BLOWS!!! :hairpull

Anyways knowing that the problem is that the paint is super soft and marrs reall easy, I tried something I haven't seen on the forums yet. What I did was in the compounding phase I used the Automagic orange pad (yellow pad for the other guys) like the directions start out. BUT instead of waiting for the compound to break down, I switch pads right in the middle to the next step down to complete the compounds break down to save time of compounding twice like some others have suggested. After I finished that coumpounding method, I wiped her down and polished with step 2 of Automagics resk free system with the finishing pads not the polishing pads like they were saying. Followed that up with Banana Magic #73 from auto magic (this stuff freakin rocks!!!!) (also used clay magic after the wash before all of this. Anyways hers how it turned out:

great job...yes infiniti paint sux...i did a g35 coupe the other week and even my softest towels were causing the pain to marr...the detail took me twice as long as i expected just from having to wipe up so carefully...and final polishing took forever to not leave holograms...
