Well this is my first post. I love this site. It is so helpful. Well today I washed my Acura TSX and the resulting finish has been an ongoing process I started a few weeks ago.

A few weeks ago I did the following:

1) Wash with Blue Coral car wash (yes I know it's cheap).

2) Clayed it with Clay Magic.

3) Washed it again.

4) Followed it up with Meguiar's 3 Step Deep Crystal System (paint cleaner, polish, and carnuaba) all done by hand with a terry cloth applicator and removed by microfiber cloths.

The day after this process I allowed the Deep Crystal Carnauba to cure, and then I topped it with one coat of Meguiar's #26 High Tech Yellow Wax.

A week after I again washed the car and topped it with another coat of Meguiar's #26.

Then this past Saturday I washed it again and experimented with topping the #26 with another coat of the Deep Crystal Carnauba to deepen the finish.

Finally today:

1) Cleaned the wheels with Eagle One All Wheel and Tire Cleaner

2) Washed with Eagle One Bucketless Car Wash

3) Dried with leaf blower, and went over with a microfiber.

4) Tires got Black Magic Tire Wet Foam

Finally here's the results of all of this work

These first two have the tire foam still drying on them.

Nice shine on the car. I just started working as a new car salesman at the local acura dealership in Gaithersburg MD and I really like that car, personally. Of course, I like all of them but I think when it is time to buy a new car I will look at that one with the six speed and the limited slip differential. And navigation.

Is it me or do I see some moderate brake dust on the wheels?

No it's not you. I don't have a brush to clean the wheels. They were alot worse before I used the wheel cleaner. I have to say that stuff is pretty amazing. When I get the brush they'll be looking a lot better but I'm satisfied cause it only took me 15-20 minutes to do the whole car today.

Naperville, Eh? Most of my extended family lives in or around Naperville. I may have to stop by and talk detailing sometime when I come down to visit. :)

Nice job on the TSX! Now get some AIO, UPP, and Souveran, PB's Wheel Sealant, S&G, a few dozen MFs... :p

A wheel brush really comes in handy for use with wheel cleaners. You can get more done with less work.

And particularly useful is a spoke wheel brush when you have an intricate wheel. How would you like to clean 50 spokes by hand...4 times???
