2003 GMC: 70K on the clock.

Time: 3 Hours (exterior paint, windows, jams, wells, wheels)

This beast was cleaned up at the Delaware shore this weekend between Miller Lites :)

My neighbor and I detailed the owners Caddy earlier this year (Zaino) -he wanted the same on his SUV -I can't blame him.

Paint Condition: Tar, Oil, Water Spots, Swirls.

The owner runs this rig through the tunnel wash, and will continue to do so.

That said, I concentrated on cleaning the paint and protecting it for the winter. The after shots are in the shade –but rest assured there were still defects in the paint –I leveled about 70%.

I’m not sure what you guys think, but when an owner is going to run his/her car through the tunnel to keep it clean, there’s no need to ‘perfect’ the paint.

Polish:

Z18/Spot Clay

AIO @1400/Orange LC Med Cut pad via the Metabo

AIO @1200/Green LC Polish Pad via the Metabo

Z6 Wipe Down

LSP: (Paint, Glass, Plastic, Trim)

Z5Pro (zfx) x 1

Z8 x 1

Z6 wipe down

Wheel Area:

Poorboys NL on the tires, wells, and running boards, and bumper pads

Z5Pro/Z8 on the wheels.

A few after shots, with the sun fading:

z5 and z8 on the wheels? intersting! why do you prefer this method vs. z16? I've never heard of using wax on wheels..

looks good!

EDIT: I obviously missread, ignore the comment above.. still looks good though!

Thanks.

Z5Pro/Z8 was used on the chrome wheels -Poorboys NL on the rubber.

Beach15: Dewey Beach. I could not believe the crowd this weekend -I thought it would be dead at the shore. I'm still hurting :)

Ahh, okay, always there--15 minutes up the road. Definately one of the busier areas at the beaches here (mainly because of a younger crowd).

The Yukon looks GREAT :2thumbs:
