Offroader special. No befores. :think: Apparently my camera doesn't like me anymore.



Well, he brought it to me last year, but he has gone mudding a couple times and had some SERIOUS bush scratches on it. soooooo... (Orange peel on this thing is still insanely bad)





Process:



Wetsanded sides of truck with 2000

SSR 3 via PC and cutting pad

SSR 2.5 via PC and polishing pad (still hazed like crazy)

Sonus SFX 2 to remove haze

Automagic Awsome gloss

Topped with Collonite 476S



Went over the wheel wells, rims, and tires with a tough brush, automagic 777, and then dressed in Super Dressing.



Interior was extracted with my friends extractor.

Cleaned with 777 APC 10:1

Topped with PB Natural Shine



Engine bay:



Degreased with a flippin tooth brush and 777.

Topped with Super Dressing

I've got it's twin, only it's a 2001 model. Those pictures really don't do it justice. They're tough looking trucks until you see the orange peel. Did you notice any paint checking anywhere? Mine's been doing that about a year now, you can't notice it too much on the hood and fenders. The top is a different story, it looked grey until it hit it with some Turtle Wax Color Match wax :nervous2: with the PC and topped with EX-P. You can't tell it from a distance, but it's there.

The pictures were crap today. I was in a major rush, and didn't have time to play around with my camera settings. (Yes I know it only takes a couple seconds more, but I was that rushed).



By paint checking, I'm not sure what you mean. This thing is off roaded, so the paint on the lower halfs is basically gone. Sand pits are taking its toll on it.

Paint checking looks like a bunch of random scratces about 1cm long. It's clearcoat failure, cracking clearcoat.



Mine has been off road once (in the snow) and I don't have any paint on the bottom either. I just can't bring myself to put mudflaps on it!

The reason why I asked is because I thought it was really tough to polish wetsanded areas with the PC. It won't be able to generate enough heat unless you're working with single stage paints. Did you run into any trouble using your PC or was it absolutely cake walk? Or do you think it could be because the clear on the car was really soft?
