The owner was gracious enough to help with the removal of the wheels to thoroughly

clean them and the wheel wells. He also volunteered to do the interior since it was in very good condition to begin with.

P21S Gel cleaner didn't cut through the baked on brake dust too well so Meguiars Wheel Brightener was used and it did the trick. It was also clayed to remove stubborn spots.

As many of you know, it is rather difficult to photograph defects in silver paint.

These are some shots of the rear wing 50/50.Top of photo is the polished side, bottom is not.

The following are photos taken by the owner. If I had known his skills were far more superior than mine, I would have commissioned him to take all the photos. I guess I'm not surprised considering he is a cinematographer.

Really? With the exception of the first one it looks like he's trying to be overly artistic and they're underlit. Quite frankly the way the photos are composed look like crap to me (altough the camera is probably pretty good.) I think he should stick to his day job :D

PLEASE...don't tell me that you jacked that car up, removed the wheels and DID NOT utilize jack stands in the event the jacks failed while working on it . PLEASE, say it ain't so. :nervous2::nervous2::nervous2:. :grrr

haha. Unfortunately we didn't have any and it was up on jacks for about 30 mins for each side so the wheels, wells could be cleaned and then the other side was done.

it only takes a few seconds for a jack to fail :think2. it has happend to me. i didn't say "haha" then. you must have great insurance (i mean life insurance because i would kill you if you dropped my C6. haha :dig.)

I appreciate your concern over safety issues. The owner jacked up the car and removed the wheels himself as I told him I would not do it for liability reasons. For the record, if I were to remove the wheels, I would have used jack stands.

Great job Rick! I agree on the jackstands. Glad to hear you gave that responsiblity to the owner. I'm always afraid the floorjack is going to give out. Otherwise very detailed to perfection. The owner had some great photo shots as well.
