I worked on this gem about a year ago and what I said when I left stuck with the owner. We discussed the issues with Porsche paint, especially dark colours and how soft it is. I gave the owner a good crash course to minimizing defects and after a year and 6k or so miles, it paid off. Note: I was testing out a new lens, so variations in pictures is due to that.
The protection was still there (car is dirty, simply a rinse with water)
While the car was soiled, underneath was 'clean'. Minimal bonded contaminants, great gloss, easy to clean, and minimal swirls. The car had quite a few R.I.D.S. from various pass-bys in the garage. My finals were:
-Dawn Wash with Turtle Wax ICE via Gilmour
-Zaino Z18 Clay with Turtle Wax ICE via Gilmour
-TOL Tire Cleaner cut 1:1 on tires/wells
-P21s Wheel Cleaner with Swissvax and EZ Detail Brush on wheels
-Meguiar's #105 via rotary and LC Purple Foamed Wool Pad @1400 rpm to spot buff R.I.D.S. and scuffs
-Zaino Z-PC via PC and LC CCS German Green Polishing Pad @ 6
-Cold water rinse
-Zaino Z6 wipedown
-Zaino Z5 Pro (ZFX'd) on paint, glass
-Zaino Clear Seal on wheels, exhaust
-Zaino Z16 on tires, wells x 2
-Zaino Z8 final wipedown
