A little background info...

I backed into a ditch at my mother-in-law’s and it scratched my side skirts all up. :( So, I borrowed my father-in-law’s buffer and some 3M Rubbing Compound, bought some wet/dry 1000 grit sandpaper and went to town. Buffed right out and looked so purty that I decided to do the whole car. I first washed and clayed the whole car. Then, I used 1000 grit sandpaper to wetsand all the scratches and crap off. I then used 3M rubbing compound to buff that out. Then I used Meguiar’s #2 Fine Cut to blend those spots in and then I used Meguiar’s #3 Glaze on the whole car. Next was the clay bar again. After that, I applied Meguiar’s ScratchX by hand to the whole car to remove the slight haze left from the glaze (the buffer I was using wasn’t really made for Auto paint buffing, but I made it work). Then, I used Klasse AIO all over the whole car and waited 24 hours for it to cure and then I applied P21S Pure Carnuba Wax. There isn’t a single scratch on the car now. Only a few rock chips. :( At any rate, the pictures don’t really do justice on how shiny the car is in person. =) Anyway, enough with my rambling. Let the pictures do the talking.

Pictures after complete detail...

It’s good to see more Dubs in the house. Fresh and clean! :2thumbs:

Any mods [other than the obvious] worth noting?

Very nice VW. I wish we had a few more that looked like that around here.

Great work...

BTW, I like the front plate.

Looks nice and clean (detailing wise and mod wise). Clean and dress that engne bay and you'll be all set!

Thanks man. :)

I haven't done any engine mods and the interior mods are very subtle, so what you see is pretty much what you get. I just wanted a nice daily drive. The '67 Mustang is my fun car.

Yeah, usually I pay a lot of attention the how clen the engine bay is. But this time, I just didn't have the time before pictures to finish the whole car.

I have a holiday and a vacation day coming up though. :heelclick
