2002 Jaguar S-Type in Black (56k probably not)

First post, absolutely love it here, and am very excited/nervous to be showing off one of my first paid details, a black 2002 Jaguar S-Type.

Even though the winter's coming here in Canada and the swirls attack with all the salt and snow, I decided to take them right out with OC, too bad I had to take out the leftover cloudiness with VM. Didn't work the OC long enough, I guess.

My Process

=======

* Wash

* Clay

* Optimum Compound w/ Orange LC Pad

* Vanilla Moose w/ White LC Pad

* Collinite by hand

The interior took me a long time, I cleaned all the rugs and leather, conditioned the leather and protected everything with 303:

All in all, I'm very pleased with the way it turned out, even though it took me a lot longer than I expected. I'm hoping with experience comes speed, but I wanted to make sure I did a good job rather than a quick one.

Ok, great, that's it, and the first of many! I have a Range Rover Sport and a Mercedes ML320 lined up, and I can't wait...

Also, Chris @ eshine.ca was incredibly helpful through this process, and I just wanted to say thanks!

Wow, very wet! There is that "thick", wet look of Collinite on black paint that I am really starting to like. Great work, be sure to post more.

Great job. The S-Types are one of my favorite cars too and you really made it look as good as it deserves to look. And that interior! It looks like they had a ticker-tape parade in the back seat.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!

The interior was tough, the owner has three kids that aren't afraid to get a little dirty. ;) I used my Black & Decker Scumbuster a lot, particularly the grout cleaner attachment (the blue piece in this image). It really worked in the cracks of the seats, which was really the dirtiest and hardest part to clean. Everything else came off with a 8:1 Woolite solution (it was mostly baby formula and melted NERDS).
