Worked on one of the last exteriors I'll be doin this season. Of course it had to be a sucker of a job too. :( Took me forever to do it, but I felt good one it was done. The black paint on all the horizontal surfaces looked pretty decent for its age, but the sides were BAD.

A trouble spot that I ran into was a keying on the side, but that was expected to not come out. But the thing that got be was, the area's in the back corners of the hood wouldn't come swirless! I didn't know what the heck to do. I even went as far as a wool pad to get it to what it was. I didn't feel like goin through the paint, so I was done.

Process:

Wash

Clay

Got some CHUNKS of tar off

GS1 on wool pad via rotary

Sonus 2 on green automagic polishing pad via rotary at 2000 RPM

SSR1 via PC at 5

Automagic New Car Glaze via PC on finishing pad

Collonite 476S x2 by hand

No Touch shine on tires

PB Trim Restorer on trim

Doorjams:

Degreased with GUNK!

Waxed with turtle wax

Greased with silicon lubricant

Rims:

AIO topped with SG

Only afters, sorry people. The sun also wasn't here for me today. :wall

That key mark is pretty ugly, man i dont understand why people do crap like that,

Anyhow, it might be a fairly easy fix with a langka kit.

Did you use the new version of sonus 2 or the older one? How did it work on 2k rotary?>

Looks great, you have really had some nasty cars to do this season. But they've all turned out great. Have you considered renting garage (commercial) space and working year round? Seems like you have a good customer base already.

No, I go to highschool full time, so that would be a total waste of money. However, I do have access to my friends commerical garage during the winter for whatever I please.

Thanks everyone.

oh, I used Sonus 2, in a 8 oz bottle. Got it from Autopia store, so I'm assuming its the new one? Worked good, higher speeds seemed to make it a little more abrasive.
