2001 Ford F-350 Super Duty (1Z PP+EX)

it was my first time...
Heres my Uncle's 2001 Ford F-350 Super Duty that he uses for his construction business. It basically just sits in the driveway, waiting for his older pickup to die. Anyway we just got back from a weekend in the woods and this thing had a lot of mud. Sorry no before pictures. Anyway it got 1Z Paint Polish with a LC polishing pad on the PC first then 1 coat of EX by hand. It still was beading somewhat from the VM/CMW I did in April.

Looks great. Is that the Bright Amber Metallic? I have a new F350 myself that is in need of a good detailing, but I still haven't figured a good way to coordinate everything. I'm used to cars, not huge trucks :)

it get's tough detail those big trucks i have a 250 crew cab and it wears me out by the time i am done. it's nice doing a compact car after cleaning my trucks

That is Toreador red. Amber is yellowish.
If it is maroon they call it Dark Toreador red. My guess is that this truck is a 99 or 00 because that shade was not offered any other years. Most likely a 99.

Nice job!!!

Dark Reds look great with Poorboys products. :-p

Awwwwww heck all colors look good after Poorboys. :lmfao

Thanks guys, I really had to pace myself with this one. Once I was finished with all the dirty work, interior and washing all the mud of, I really enjoyed polishing with PP and finishing with EX, thats when you really see the paint really pop. Im quite sure its either a 2000 or 2001, it was purchased in November 2001.

Sean, its hard for me to compare the two combos, because the last time I detailed it was done by hand. Also 1Z PP is more of a polish compared to the VM. The second time I did it, pictures above, the finish came out extremely clear and wet, compared to when I VM/CMW, which darkened the paint more than giving it a clear wet look. Overall, I prefer the 1Z PP+EX combo for that color than the moose twins. Not sure if you've ever tried 1Z PP, but I think you'd really like it.

I tried a little sample from the company, but it was a while ago. At the time, I think I felt SFP did a better job of fixing defects.
