Detailed a 2000 accord today, paint was horrible super swirls everywhere, paint was completely dull. looked like it had never seen a wax in its life. Interior floors were grimey. Even with my mytee hp60 there were still some stains left and a weird burn like mark on the rear floormat that I couldnt remove. Customer was not worried about removing swirls she just wanted her paint shiny again, but i tried to remove as much as i could. there were a good amount of swirls I couldnt get rid of though, I worked my way up from OPII on a white ccs pad, to OC on an orange pad, m105 on orange, m105 on yellow, and back down to m105 orange, and m205 on white and still had some swirls left, not sure what the deal was with this paint but i gave up the chase on this one seeings as that she wasnt worried about them. LSP was Nattys blue on this one, I love the slick look on dark cars.

(I found out later that this is a particularly soft paint that I didnt finish out with a soft enough pad on a high enough speed)

Nice work! Car looks great except that tire!

lol you mean that front right that is basically flat? yea I told her about that before I even started. The sidewall was like ripping in half, it was pretty bad.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

The paint is very soft on these hondas. After few years, they tend to show alot of swirls, scratches, and common with water spots.

Great looking save! Honda paint can be very finicky when it comes to removing swirls and other defects! Definitely a trick to it!
