2000 Camaro SS......turbo : )

Well I did my friends 2000 Camaro SS a few weeks ago for him. I just did a full swirl removal but took my time and took about 8 hrs start to finish. The car is garage kept and has been treated fairly well it's entire life so the paint wasn't too bad. I found the clear coat to be very hard on his car, so I hit it pretty hard.

Blackfire polyclay

Menzerna IP via rotory w/ LC yellow cutting pad@1500rpm

Menzerna FPII via rotory w/ LC white polishing pad@1200rpm

Clearkote's RMG via PC on speed 4.5

Pinnacle Souveran x1 by hand

Natty's Blue x1 by hand

Following day a quick spritz of FK#425

Looks great! I really don't like the position of that turbo though. Is it strictly a track car or is it street driven as well?
 
It is definitly a street car.....and yes it is an STS kit. A little laggy, but still makes GREAT power. Right now, the car is running ~5psi but will soon be going up when the intercooler and 60lb. injectors that are sitting at his house go in :soscared: Quick car reguardless.....and now flossed :cooleek:

And no worries of that turbo getting smacked by something?

Sounds like a sweet car man!
 
There are lots of STS cars running around... that's an interesting setup. I'd be scared but I guess you learn to drive with it in mind.



that's an amazing job you did... the paint looks real deep.
