2000 Black Subaru w/ nasty etching !!!

Clean Dean

Keep it clean !!!
This black 2000 Subaru Legacy needed some serious water spots removed, and was my only project today. The before pictures were taken after the vehicle was hand washed and thoroughly clayed. The process called for:

Hi Temps Heavy Cut Compound w/ yellow wool pad.

Hi temps Heavy Leveler w/ yellow foam pad

Meguiars #82 and blue foam waffle pad.

Sealed with Megs #21 and topped with S100.

All buffing done by rotary…

1. Excellent job on the Subaru! Looks perfect! Curious as to what the tires are wearing?

2. I love your display picture  haha

Nice work removing those water spots, afters look great. :goodjob

How do you find the HC Compound compares to the HC Leveler? Does it leave a lot of marring? Is the cut serious?

Joshua312,

Tires have AM Dress It All water based dressing.

smprince1,

The HC compound is essentially liquid sandpaper and is very aggressive. The HC Leveler leaves little marrinag and takes down the compound swirls pretty fast.

Thanks.

Nice work! By the way its a Subaru Forester and the black ones I have seen around here always look terrible. Looks like a brand new car in that last pic :)

Setec Astronomy,

The car was located basically less than 30 feet from the Jersey Shore, and was never garaged. My guess its salt water etching. Did not help it was black !!! If it were up to me you would need a special permit to own a black car !!! :)

Yal,

I think your right. I do not detail too many Subaru's except WRXs. Those cars are so much fun. Pocket rockets !!!

Really nice work on a bad looking Suby . Paint looks awesome . Brand new car . I´l bet the owner was happy surprise
