2 Weekends, 1 Tundra - 56k warning, 5mp

Finally decided to break out the jar of P21S that I've had for nearly a year. Bought a PC last weekend and went over the Tundra with AIO, then SG. Monday I hit it with a second layer of SG, and I just got home from going over it with P21S.

The stuff really surprised me. I expected a hard paste to be hard to work with, but this stuff is easier to work with than Turtle Wax!

Anyways, I know there's only so much you can do with metallic gold, but here she is.

Please ignore the 67,000 miles worth of road rash :D

GORGEOUS truck. Aside from the exhaust, what do you have from TRD on there?

Gold is very tricky but I found that the WG twins bring out a lot of the color that hides behind the gold (for the J30, it was a salmon and for the 740, it was a silver).

Looks great with the K twins and P21s.

Uhh... an oil filler cap :D

Nahh... It is a TRD Offroad SR5, so it has the TRD suspension and LSD from the factory. I was going to go with a set of TRD rims, but they are so hit and miss on quality and picky about care that I didn't think they would be wise for a truck that sees the high side of 45k a year and only sees a covered area when I change the oil.

I peeled the bed TRD graphics off less than 2 weeks after I bought it. Debadged it the next day, then rebadged it with the TRD logos. They don't quite smack you in the face like the bed graphics do, and they're much easier to wax around than the stock Tundra badges.

I think my avatar was taken when the bed stickers were still there.

I've done a lot of other mods, and as many as possible are factory components... transplanted the nav system from a 2004 Camry, installed the Gentex EC mirror, Muthco signal mirrors, replaced the dash black plastic with the Limited woodgrain parts (the ebay kits suck), IS body-colored mirror covers (SR5 comes with chrome).

Thanks for the strokes guys... this is the first vehicle that I've had where I've really made an effort to take car of it. My boss always joked about me waiting for rain to wash my '94 pickup for me, and I had slopped that Autofom (Mop 'n Glo?) on my '91 Escort.

Before that, I had cars that I cared about a little more, but all they got was NuFinish or a TW product.

No more. You guys have ruined me... now I need to convince my boss to take better care of his new BLACK metalflake QX56 :)

My wife couldn't believe the difference an hour with clay and the Blackfire twins made on her 2000 Echo (3 years w/o waxing)... I think she eats two bottles of QD a week on her new (dark metallic blue) Rav4.

When I get back from a business trip this week, I'm going to refresh the SG on her Rav and hit it with P21... should be really blinding!

The below shot was after AIO one layer of SG the day after we brought it home.
