2 Videos: My car, UQW, durability testing, follow-up = ?

Hey guys



I did a little recording of my personal car (and mobile detailing transport rig) to show how well the new Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax (UQW) would sheet water.



The first video was shot 1 week after I applied a single "coat" of UQW using a simple WIWO method. It did also have 4~ days of heavy rain between when I applied it, and when I washed it and filmed the sheeting action.

The second video was shot after a total of 3 weeks since the first application. I also did a few Last Touch wipe downs, and this was before/during the second wash in the 3 week period.

It was the black rubber fireman's nozzle from ADS. It's a great nozzle.



My water pressure was REALLY lousy...not sure if you could really tell in the video, but it probably didn't help the water to get off the car in any sort of hurry.

Seriously! I used to use Optimum Car Wax (Still have over a gallon left), but this stuff is a little easier to work with, leaves what I find to be a slightly slicker surface, and without a bout beads water better.



In a month or so I am going to be creating a mini-series of detailing videos and I plan on doing a side by side with OCW and UQW for application, removal, durability, and water repelling. I'll be sure to post when the filming begins... :xyxthumbs

OCW is my favourite but cannot buy local so I`ll give this a go.

it didnt rain as much as i had hoped so we'll just have to wait and see until the next time it rains....but i think ill put on another layer not cuz i want to bead water well, not cuz i like the way it smells....only cuz its so damn easy
