This week I had 2 different supercharged cars come in for prep before car shows. First was a Mustang that was heading to North Carolina for Mustang week. The 2nd is a WS6 Trans Am that needed some love before a show.
First up is the Mustang. Prep and Tools used on both jobs were pretty similar.
Wheels/Tires
Mckees foaming wheel cleaner gel, LATA, Hyper dressing, Mckees Gloss Tire Gel, Mother All chrome (Trans AM Wheels), Wheel Woolies
Wash/Decon
Foamed with Mckees Sio2 wash, 2bm, nanoskin medium grade pad on PC 7424, N914 for lube
Correction
BOSS G21, Adams swirl killer mini, Flex PE8, Boss microfiber cutting pads, Megs 3in microfiber cutting pads, Rupes Yellow pads, Flex PE8 pads, fast correcting cream, M205
LSP- IGL Poly (mustang) IGL Premier( Trans AM)
Interior
Steam, Mckees total interior cleaner, IGL dash uv protectant, stoners aerosol trim shine
Engine bay
Steam, stoners aerosol trim shine
Mustang before correction
Now the poor WS6 had a really bad paint job from a previous owner. The new owner has spent the past year redoing the drivetrain to consist of the following. 416ci stroked LS3, F1A procharger, Meth injection, fuel system, trans, clutch, Built 9in rear etc etc. Makes about 750rwhp. He just wanted to get it looking better until he blows it all apart over the winter and redoes the body. At which time he will send it back afterwards for finishing work and a coating.
