1Z ProLine High Gloss Polish

The pro line polishes in the black bottles are not the same as the retail...

The Pro-line stuff I'm referring to is, uhm...well, I'm calling it "Pro-Line" because that's what it says on the cans (round 1-liter cans that have the same label design as the "consumer" stuff in the smaller rectangular cans). I *thought* the stuff in the black bottles had a different name but I dunno :nixweiss

Looking at the 1Z website just now makes me wonder if they've changed things since the last time I bought any

I believe the round 1 liter cans are also pro-line stuff. Consumer stuff only comes in the smaller cans. Btw. I have a red can here, Metallic Polish and that stuff is white. The WPS I have is pink, only comes in 1 liter cans btw. So I don't know what the pro-line MP is?

The Pro Line products are the round can versions, and the Body Shop Line products are in the black bottles.

Accumulator, I've never tried the WPS. so I can't comment on it. Strange that the Hungarian importer import the consumer and the Body Shop lines, completely missing the Pros.

Timmah, the 1Zs producing a softer glow (wax-based), unlike the hard brightness of the Menz finishing polishes. Nevertheless, the finishes are very attractive in both cases. The working times are similar, but I think the 1Zs are more forgiving, so you can apply them more liberally, they can't be overprocessed, etc. They can be dusty, but with correct amounts, the issue can be controlled very effectively.

I always return to the 1Zs somehow... they have a positive character and they are great performers too, even with DAs.

It seems that the black bottles are both part of the Pro-Line and "Body Shop Safe," at least that's how they're categorized at the 1Z site. The black bottle of Pasta Intensiv I have actually says Pro-Line on it. The round 1L cans, as stated, are also part of the Pro-Line (although, I'm not sure about Waxpolish Soft).

There is one definite similarity with Menzerna--all the different names and categorizations make one's head spin!

Not to beat a dead horse, but how does their pro-line IP stack up against nano clears? I am between ordering the 1Z pro pairs and SIP/106FF... I've got a soft spot for the 1z warm look, and the price is right, but when it comes down to it, will they *remove* marring as effectively as Menzerna?

I am not familiar with this product nor Menzerna (have yet to try out my Blackfire I got recently), but if you want an even better deal they have a bundle package directly from 1z Einzett USA. You get all 3 products for $50.25, or a little less than $60 after shipping:

Intensive Paste (1000 ml, 33,8 fl oz)

High Gloss Polish (1000 ml, 33,8 fl oz)

Final Finish (1000 ml, 33,8 fl oz)

1z | einszett America Store Pro-Line Polishes Bundle

They usually have better deals ordering directly from 1z.

I live by the orange Headquarters. The proline they have are usually the best and silicone free from what I gathered ... I used their consumer line ..I forgot I think it was the red bottle and it use to gum up my pad! But anyhow I do really like their stuff esp. Gummi Flenge.:) Get ready to wear a mask because it gets dusty!:waxing:

Bence- When *you* say that you always end up going back to 1Z, people oughta sit up and take notice ;)

Jeroen- Is your MP in the round, 1-liter can? My "white" MP is, and it says "Pro-Line" on the can. My WPS looks kinda purple to me, but I can see it looking pink to somebody else. My consumer-line MP was *PINK*-pink, simple as that, no other way to describe it IMO.

themightytimmah- Heh heh, I hope you order the 1Z so *you* can answer the 1Z/Menzerna comparo question :D FWIW (probably not much :o ) the Pro-Line MP is so gentle that it's stricly for a final burnishing of an already basically-perfect finish, but their new stuff is supposedly good for "ceramic paint" so I'g *GUESS* it does some real correction :nixweiss

Nope my MP is in a small can and it is white. I checked the website and the new small red can is named Metallic PolishWax, wonder if the product changed? My WPS is in a round 1 liter can and you are right it looks purple.

Hm checked the 1z website again and the red 1 liter can says Metallic Polish, I guess they've changed the consumer line product?

Did you btw. ever use Express Polish, round grey can?

Jeroen-Thanks for the additional info, man this stuff gets confusing! Sounds like they did indeed change the Metallic Polish  FWIW, back when I spoke with the, they said they were disconinuing the Pro MP that I have in favor of (only) the Metallic with Wax.

I dunno what to think/say now... :nixweiss I don't want to read *too* much into the color, but the old pink stuff sure seemed to have a lot of wax in it and the white stuff that I have sure seems *not* to.

Perhaps the new High Gloss stuff will be great and become the "1Z for purist" product suggestion with the MP (of whatever type it is now) and the WPS being the "leaves stuff behind" product suggestion.

And no, I never did try Express. I couldn't figure out what it would offer compared with MP or WPS. I never did get a satisfactory answer from anybody at 1z either. This is almost as bad as choosing from among all the Meguiar's offerings :D

G, you obviously have the 1Z of old! Its not what is available today. And for those of you who arent getting info from here, you may be misled.

The differences in the MP from days of old, and current are G R E A T ........The older version is a solvent based cleaner, with light abrasive, no hiding or "feathering" as I like to refer to it. todays version is not solvent based, has identical light grade abrasives, but adds additional conditioners with polymer and Nuba protection. The Retail line is not of OTC caliber, its still a professional product, just in a more usable container. Even with this product, as the Pro Line, a little still goes a long way....

are you sure about the new stuff being non solvent based? i just got some glanz wax(blue rectangle can) and metallic polish(red rectangle can) and they both have STRONG solvent smell. just got them 1 month ago

from what i know they are not solvent based. Part of 1z's issues to get things here is to redesign their line to meet or exceed epa standards. what you smell is a fragrance...

fragrance? i will have to go sniff them again just to double check. but if i remember there was definately a solvent smell

Solvent based are not V.O.C. compliant in California. And you cant import anything into California, let alone sell in California, if it doesnt meet V.O.C. compliance. Theres 6 or 7 other states involved as well. Califonia would really rather have companies make there products out of water!!

Thats why those interested in einszett products need not stray away from the 1z-usa site. Oversees products are not available here in the states......

Patrick- Thanks for clearing things up, sorry if I've dragged this out interminably :o Yeah, not surprised that my MP is old, you know how I am about stockpiling products/versions that I like...and time just goes by faster every year (no I'm *not* getting old :D ).

Guess 1Z really *did* discontinue the stuff they advised me to stock up on, even if they kept the product's *name* in play.

Grouse- *Vanilla Cherries*?!? Now that *IS* a very different version of MP
