1Z Metallic/Polish Wax

I have a client that just wants a one step detail and I have had this product sitting in my arsenal for a while now but have never used it. Since my Flex 3401 is down for the count for a while I was wondering if you can use this product via rotary or it is just for the DA.

Any input from my fellow Autopians would be greatly appreciated :)

I've used it with a rotary, but very slow speed. It worked as well as can be expected with any one step product, I thought. Pretty mild product.

I would defer to Accumulator or Bence on this one.

Sure, you can use it by rotary. I've also used it as a one step product on cars in decent condition - it'll take out very fine scratches and leave a very nice glossy shine. I often use it after 1ZPP, as well, when I use carnauba as a LSP.

Very mild stuff, I might reach for the Paint Polish instead if only doing one step. Yeah, keep the speed down if you want any correction at all.

I'd include Todd (percynjpn) here as well. :-) He knows one or two things about 1Z...

Otherwise, very nice product, and yes, really mild. Great for gloss enhancing.

What would you guys compare it to?? Poli-Seal, PB PWS, etc????

Gee, I can't really say :nixweiss

I haven't used the other products you mentioned, but I'd put the 1z MPwW in the same category as VM and cleaner-waxes (no, that's not a slam; I don't hate all cleaner-waxes the way some people do).

It's protection doesn't last long by itself.

I have't used this all that much, as I greatly preferred the Pro version (back when it was a quite different product, not sure what they're selling now as things related the toe various Metallic Polishes got sorta confusing a while back).

What happened to the flex pat?

Looks like I am another victim of the "Flex Rash". My felt ring started to disintegrate which caused melting of my BP. I got great customer service from Dwayne at AG who got me a new felt ring and BP shipped today.

Sorry to hear about the Flex. Did you oil the felt ring? As far as the 1Z Metallic Polish - I used it with a green LC pad and PC, a good cleaner wax and a great base for 1Z Glans wax.

Personally - I think Megs 151 is a better 1 step.

I think it's very similar to Pol-Seal, though it's probably less durable. It's also very easy to work and to remove. It actually has a little more cut than P-S, but leaves a beautiful finish.
