1Z Glanz Wax 'New Formula'

Ya'll must have missed Grouse's write up on sealants - 1Z came in first. Also, I've seen a few more senior members express praise for it too.

I've used the original version and it is pretty damn good stuff. :)

Wow looks like Glanz is a winner from all these posts. If it looks anything like TS on my black car, I think TS will be going up on the trading post. I love the look but durability isn't too high, compared to a sealant that is.

Looks too bright on black to me. Tried it on the 626 I used to have and really wasn't happy with the look. On all other colors, including metallic black, I like it.

Hey Scott, a lot of my customers like the "too bright" look - maybe it's my location LOL!

That's strange...I used it on my s/s black RAV4 recently and found it far less bright than NXT or #21 which I had on before.

It really darkened the paint, made it gossy, but looked 'warm' and less 'bright' than any LSP I had used on it before. That's weird. :nixweiss

It could have been the older formula. From what I've read I believe the newer formula has some carnauba in it.

"Looks are very very subjective" Amen bro - should have seen my first wife...what was I smokin?........nevermind.

I really liked the original also Scott. I found the newer version a little warmer, but durability has been setback slightly.

As for 2 months durability, I find that abut average for most sealants anyway.

Yes, its the old formula...but I would've thought the non-carnauba GW would be brighter not warmer. :nixweiss

Yes, its true, looks are subjective...up to a point, IMO. What I mean is, that it's subjective when two guys look at a group of babes and decide which is the best-looker. What's not subjective is picking the only blonde in the group. That's an optical fact.

In a *similar* (but more difficult) way *I* don't believe deciding whether a LSP is brighter than another is subjective, as though it's a matter of taste. I believe it's an optical fact. It's just more difficult to pick it up and that requires some experience and training of the eye. In fact, you can buy "gloss metres" (very expensive) that measure the optical brightness/gloss of a wax and outputs a number.

For example, if I say Souveran is brighter and not as warm as IW, that's not subjectivity, that's inexperience.

If I say I like the look of IW over souveran, that's subjectivity, and more power to you. :up

I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself well enough. :o
