1Z Glanz vs. Klasse

I just used the 1Z paint polish and really liked it! Then I topped it with the Klasse Twins. It got me wishing I had the 1Z Glanz wax to top the 1Z paint polish and to do a compairisonbetween the "twins" and 1z Glanz. What is everyones opinion with these two.

Also how about if I topped them with Soveran. I usually use S100.

This is on my Silver Ram and or my Wifes Black Grand Prix GT.

This isn't really a decent reply, as I have yet to try the Glanz, but I like the look from the 1Z polishes so much that I can't bring myself to use the K twins over them. The Klasse look is just different, IMO, and on silver I generally prefer how the 1Z looks- well, MP/WPS topped with UPP or Meg's #16 (haven't tried Souveran on them, not durable enough for those cars).

Well, I can tell you that the Glanz looks damn good over PP or MP,

especially on metallic paint. However, remember that they both contain carnauba, so you need to work the Glanz in when you apply it.

Actually, I usually wait until my next wash: the remaining canauba basically is gone and Glanz can be applied more easily.

I would say that S100 looks better over them, but the Glanz is close and certainly lasts at least 3 times longer.

I love 1Z MPW and GW on silver and I haven't found any reason to use anything else. Meg's #26 and S100 didn't do anything "extra" to the look either. I've got Klasse but like Accumulator, I just can't bring myself to put it over the 1Z. All the 1Z stuff seems to work really well with metallic flake paint, especially the Lackfinish DS. The carnauba topper may give you something extra on the black but I doubt if you'll see any real bonus in using it on the silver, but that is just me. If you have the products then just try it and see, you just won't know till you do it.

I use both Klasse and 1Z.

The Klasse twins provide a great look and protection.

Klasse provides real protection. Here is how I know without taking someones elses word.

On my MDX I have two coats of SG. One day after usings Sonus Acrylic Glanz, I saw a spot where I apparently failed to wipe it off, so I wiped the spot again, but when I looked at it, the spot was still there. I again sprayed the spot and buffed it a little harder, but the spot was still there. I have concluded that I missed a spot when applying the first layer of SG, let it dry, then sealed that area with the second layer. So, in essence I can see that I have a clear acrylic cover over the spot that I can't remove until I remove the SG. I found that to be most satisfying.

On my other car I have AIO/SGx4. But the detailing illness got the best of me and I wanted to try GW, so I did and I like that look better. It seemed to give it a deeper look. It may have removed a layer of SG :nixweiss, but I thought I could live with that. The illnes bit me again and I decided to try Wax Polish Soft (WPS) and that gave the car an incredible look. I am very happy with that and know that the car is well protected underneath.

In summary, I will always have an SG protection coat on the car and it will be topped with WPS, whether or not I will use the GW is uncertain.
