1Z Body shop line

Yesterday I spied an 1Z delivery van in my town. Didn't know that 1Z was represented in Hungary! (No search result ever; even on the German homepage, Hungary is a white, undiscovered land.)

I realized later, that an old colleague is behind the whole. What a pleasant surprise! They started only 4 months ago...

I plan to buy the "real industrial" products from their Pro Line (Pasta Intensiv, High Gloss Polish and Wax Finish O.S. for cutting/polishing/glazing), which contain no silicone. What do you think about them?

What are the differences? Ease of use? Results & durability?

Is it worth to try these or should I stay with the normal Pro products?

They are extremely cheap here! $60 for 5 liter Pasta Intensiv, $12 for a 1l can of Hart Glanz are outstanding deals for our nice Hungarian relations.
(Just to compare: Clay Magic standard bar - $80, 3M PI-III products $45-60/liter, etc.)

Holy crap! thats Cheap, thats the best part of living in Europe I guess. 1z-usa.com should have some general info there. Look their site and they should have a different scale etc.

Hmm I wonder which of three polishes: UP,PP and MP are closest to the heavy duty pro stuff you saw?

Hi

I have them all, and I prefer the Extra Lackreiniger, the Lack Politur and teh Waxpolish Soft. These are very easy to use, great results products :) And if you think that's cheap let me tell you, I buy that 1L can of Hart Glanz for 6.60 euros :-p

Do you guys have Ultra, Paint and Metallic Polish there or is that what it is just called in the US?

Those are just the translated names for the products I stated ;) at least the two first :) the metallic is named the same way

Here are quotes from their website (www.1z-usa.com):

" Intensive Paste - cutting polish
(silicone-free) 5 L (1.3 Gal)

Intensive Paste is a mechanically acting, silicone-free cutting paste designed to easily cut on today's low VOC and high solids paintwork. Can be used either on force-dried paintwork repairs or on the original paintwork. Equally suitable for removing slight orange peel effect and paint overspray.
Low-dusting and sling for less cleanup. Removes 1000 and 1200 sand scratches easily. Stays wet longer exceeding work time for hard paintwork. Produces a fine finish. Silicone- and wax-free.

High Gloss Polish - swirl mark reducer
(silicone-free) 5 L (1.3 Gal)

High Gloss Polish is a silicone-free polish which can be used for both hand and machine polishing on freshly painted paintwork. Also suitable for removing compound marks, grinding streaks and paint overspray. Low-dusting and sling for less cleanup. Produces a fine finish. Silicone- and wax-free.

Wax-Finish - finishing glaze (silicone-free) 5 L (1.3 Gal)

Wax Finish is a silicone-free high gloss polish for both hand and machine polishing of repaired paintwork. Can also be used for polishing old original paintwork. Low-dusting and sling for less cleanup. Safe for use on freshly painted surfaces. Silicone-free. "

On the abrasiveness-scale I think they fill the gaps somewhere between the Extra Paintwork Cleaner, Paint Polish, Metallic Polish and Express Polish.

José, why do you prefer the normal silicone ones? Are they easier to work with, or produce "better" results?

Just to remember: I'm talking about these:

Yes, they are easier to work with and better results!! Except if you have a paint shop.
I have them all ;)

I'm curious! I did a little computer job for them and they will honor me with a complete product kit!!!

Do you have the Clean Star clay and the Universal Brillantpolish too?
They can be found on the Austrian website though...

What can I expect from the entire line?

No, we don't have those two products here :(

I like all 1Z products I've used, as they are easy to use and produce the results I expect from them ;)

All the 1Z products that I have used, I've been very impressed with. 1Z products have just started to make their way into the UK at last... and very welcome they are too! I really like the Paint Polish, Wax Polish Soft and Glanz. Very user friendly products with great results!
