Hi Guys

First off, sorry for the lack of before pics. My access to a camera was limited :(

The car had many self induced micro marring created by wet sanding filled in chips (thanks to accumulator and picus for their educational chip repair posts)

Anyways, this was my first detail with a PC (body still vibrating a day later). The treatment was as follows

Dawn Wash

ClayBar

Zaino Wash

First Pass - Poor Boys SSR 2.5 w/ Orange Pad

Second Pass - Poor Boys SSR 2.0 w/ White Polishing Pad

Klasse All in One Sealent by hand w/ foam pad (RIP)

Looks great with AIO as the LSP. Sucks that you ran over it, but it is worth buying again, it should be in every detailers toolbox!

I think it sacrificed itself under your wheel as a last-ditch attempt to remind you to dress your tires. :lol Nice job on your first PC detail.

agreed... Nice work! :goodjob

i'd think twice about using whats left of the klasse. i would be afraid of dirt bits getting in it and then damaging my paint next time i used it.

The infiniti looks great

In one of the earlier afters you can see some Klasse in the driveway; I thought you drove through paint or something. One time I dropped a whole tote box full of detailing stuff; the KAIO bottle broke & it went all over the garage!

Great job on the paint. You took some incredible swirls out!

Next time make sure to get the inner edge of the wheel wells, when it's dirty it takes away from how good the rest of the car looks

Nice work, and I feel your pain. Accidently stepped on an almost full bottle of ZPC, and about half shot out. :hairpull :hairpull :wall

I threw away a brand new bottle of Zaino z6 detail spray. I got the empty bottle and the new one mixed up! That sucked! I've dropped prodcuts too.

Good work on the car.

Nice job on the G! I have the same exact color and almost the same swirl issues...I'm planning on using the same SSR 2.5 for the swirls.

Why did you do a second pass with SSR 2.0? would it be ok to work with the 2.5 on the second pass? (I'm a noob at detailing) Also, did you have to do your door handles by hand? TIA for the info!

2.5 is pretty abrasive, so you need to move down to a polish to 'fine tune' to get the finer marring out, and as well clean up the paint haze that is usually left by some compounds.

Thanks for the advice. With the so many different products it's easy to get confused(and that's not hard to do) Hmm...so looks like I'll have to find a polish to use right after the 2.5 like klasse. Thanks for the info!
