1st time trial

I am pretty new to the Detail Fourm, however I have learned I think a lot just reading the different post. I finally decided to buy a PC 7424 and try it, we have a 01 Blk Lightning and an 04 Blk Cobra and I would like to try and get some of the swirl mark out of them and have not had to much luck by hand. Well beings it would be a 1st time trying a Polisher I was concerned about what damage I could do even though I read that it is pretty safe. My nephew's girlfriends car is in really bad shape so I asked her to let me try it on her car. WOW. I just washed it, clayed it and then went at it with the polisher with some Safe Cut for the Wax Shop. I only did the hood so far as I ran out of time. The PC was amazing. Very easy to use. Well I will need to continue learning by trail and error and for the forums advise but Thanks to everyone for you help. I believe by the time I am done with this car I will be able to do my own.

Nice turnaround on the hood. Once you get using the PC I think you'll find it very easy to use. Post up the rest of the car once you get it finished!

Thanks Paul, I will try to post more pic's when I am done. As I am just starting and wanted to try to learn a little more before doing Black vehicles. I figure I have a pretty good chance between reading the advise given on the Forums and trying different things 1st. I finally ordered some SSR 2.5, SSR 1 and Natty's Blue along with some other things today for Steve at Poorboys, when I get them I believe I will be willing to try a little on my Black vehicles. Thanks

Nice job on the hood. That was really oxidized. It's hard to see, but did the swirls come out too? You'll like PB products. The Blue will rock your black paint! Be sure to take some more pics!

Thanks, yes there does not appear to be much for swirls left, I was really amazed that it came out so well. Sad part is the she really does not appear to care to much about her car looking great. Well maybe that will change someday.
Steve was a big help, as I kind of knew what I wanted just needed a little more help. I Love our black vehicles as we have said a few times that we are not going to get black anymore (have had 7 over time), but some how can not get away from it as it looks so nice when they are clean, haha it's just keeping them clean that is the trick. Thanks for the encouragement.

Great job on the hood! I've been detailing by hand for several years now, but am about to order my PC within the next week. I'm glad to hear that another beginner had such luck with it! I can't wait to get mine and give it a shot! And I don't blame you about waiting to try the Cobra and Lightening! Those are two nice vehicles!
