1st PLACE TROPHY

I was in NC over the weekend for ZDAYZ Tail of the Dragon. What an awesome drive.... Along with this event of course was a car show. In preparation for this, I applied a coat of NXT with a PC the day before driving to NC. To keep the shine going I dusted and QD with BM. I recived a lot of compliments on how AMAZINGLY clean my car looked even after it started raining. I wasn't really expecting it but I was awarded the 1st Place Trophy in the stock category. All of my hard work has paid of with that trophy. Of course a lot of this is because of the things that I have learned over the last year in here, so THANKS all of you. :bow :bow I'll get some pictures posted later.

I never really understood the "stock" category. Walking through a stock car show is like walking through a Nissan dealership.

Well it all depends on the Car Show's definition of STOCK. At the last car show I entered they defined STOCK as cars with less than five visual mods. This particular one is three or less. Currently I have two mods which still puts me in the stock category. That was one thing that made me laugh when people tell me that my car is amazing because in a sense it's still stock, BUT an extremely well kept stock Z. :xyxthumbs

hey bluedragonz,

by tail of the dragon do you mean deal's gap in the smokies? i was there two weekends ago on a motorcycle trip. what an awesome ride.

Okay, admit it, it was that free PC you won from Autopia that made your Z "WOW" the judges... right?

:p

You are absolutely correct my friend, that and the FREE bottle of NXT and Tech Spray. Of course including all of the knowledge that I've learned here = 1st place trophy. :D

JC that's the same. What a rush I love that drive..... :D

Way to go, brother!! The car looks great, but is that a bra on the front end? I've never entered a car show, but I would have thought you'd need to take it off for the show! It sure would have looked better without it, anyway!

By the way, did you top with PS again to improve the clarity?

Congratulations!!

Thanks... :)

Yeah, that a bra on the front end. I guess it all depends on the car show, this is only the second show that I did and no one said anything. I use it for two reasons, I wanted my car to be different from the rest of the Z's plus I like the way it looks after I apply the Tech Spray on it. The second is to cover the little accident that I had three weeks ago. A Chevy Tahoe grazed her front bumper. I was able to clean it up a bit but there's three large scratches on it.

I was going to use PS but I didn't get a chance to do it before the show. The reason I haven't been applying PS over, it takes away the water sheeting when you wash the car. PS makes it bead which is good but that means I have to use the CWB to dry it. With just the NXT I eliminate using the CWB, I simply let the water sheet off the car and dry.
