1999 BMW E36 M3 "Complete Paint Correction" by Innovative

PROJECT: 1999 BMW E36 M3



She was in remarkable condition at first glance, but deep down she had accumulated years of inferior and improper paint care by her previous owner.



My goal for the new owner was to restore this very desirable M3 to better than new condition, which I acomplished after about 9 hrs of paint correction.





*Exterior Detail procedures for Paint Correction*



-Wheels were prepped with Meguiar's Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes

-Tires were spritzed down and scrubbed with Meguiar's #39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner washed down

-Wheel wells were spritzed down and scrubbed with Meguiar's APC+ and washed down

-Pressure washed and rinsed

-Door jambs were cleaned up

-Vehicle dried

-Paint work clayed

-Wheel wells were treated with Stoner Trim Shine

-Paint inspected and measured

-Vehicle taped up

-Wheels protected with Meguiar's #21

-Tires dressed with Stoner's Trim Shine

-2 Step Paint correction ( Meguiar's M105 & M205)

1st pass rotary w/M105

2nd pass D/A w/m205

-Inspection with Infratech, and natural sunlight

-Sealed using D/A w/Meguiar's #21 Polymer Sealant

-Rubber and Plastics Treated

-Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed

-Exhaust tips cleaned and polished

-Diamond's Blue Mist Spray and Gloss Enhancer

-Meguiar's #21 Polymer Sealant

-Meguiar's Glass Cleaner Concentrate

-Meguiar's Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner

-Wheel Wells Meguiar's APC+

-Meguiar's#39 Vinyl/Rubber Cleaner

-Stoner Trim Shine for tires and wheel Wells

-Meguiar's ETC Digital Paint Guage Meter

-Infratech 5300

-Black and Decker 6138 Pro Automotive Series Polisher

-Porter Cable 7424XP D/A

-Honda/General Gas Pressure Washer

-Honda Generator - 120v

-Rigid Vacuums

-Meguiar's buffing pads - W8006, W9006(6.5inch)

-Lake Country 4" CCS pads, Orange, White, Blue

-Tons of "Meguiar's" Microfiber Towels

-SM Arnold Water Sprite

-Assorted Brushes

-0000 Steel Wool

-3M Blue Tape

-Blower

-McCullough Steam Cleaner

-Qtips

-Waste Water Containment System

Hood photo showing extensive scratches that I needed to correct, just the clay process improved the condition of the paint..it was very dry.

Like the title say's "Complete Paint Correction" this was all my customer wanted.......interior was there and in perfect condition.....no rips, tears, cracks, burns...nada, only 75,000 original miles.....
 
great job! hows the durability of the #21? i have some and the reviews says its poor.

it does look good on nice preped paint reminds me of zaino z5pro same color,smell and looks close on the car.
